I know it probably seems boring to remake a pattern, but when I find one that I absolutely love I just can’t resist the temptation. I also think that different fabrics make an outfit look completely different anyway.
So, for the second time I have made Butterick B6687, option A. This time I have used a John Kaldor Crepe fabric from my stash which was purchased a little while back from Minerva. The fabric is called Ibrox and this is the dusty blue colour way. This fabric is a lot stiffer than the viscose challis that I used previously, and so has created a different effect on the sleeve ruffles. I love the colour of this fabric and the placement of the flowers. I had been admiring very similar tops in RTW but wasn’t loving the hefty price tags. I love that I can create my own version (that fits comfortably) and hasn’t broke the bank!
I always trace and tissue fit a pattern before making a garment and so as I was happy with the fit of my last blouse, I just went ahead and reused the pattern. I used exactly the same construction method as last time so I won’t go into detail again but If you want to know more, please just visit my last review.
I’m so happy with how this blouse has turned out and it matched the sunny skies perfectly.
