I loved my Jarrah sweater so much that I just had to make another one, this time in black. You can read all about my last one here
MN Jarrah Sweater
Once again I’ve used the same super soft snuggly fabric. (I was very lucky to have been kindly gifted this as part of Minerva’s Ambassador Program). It’s a rope textured stretch knit from Minerva’s core range. I’m totally in love with this fabric, it has to be the softest knit I’ve ever felt and it always launders and wears so beautifully. I’ve worn it lots and there is no evidence of this at all – no pilling anywhere.
It’s wonderful not being a knitter to still be able to produce tops that look as if I’ve been busy with my needles!
Unfortunately the weather was really cold and wet the day we came to take photos (been like it for days) so we had to take them inside and the lighting really is reflecting badly and doesn’t do this jumper any justice. It’s actually a really deep dark black which makes it look luxurious and quite striking. I love the contrast between this version and my previous cream one.
I again opted to make view C with the funnel neck from view D and left the sleeves at their intended longer length to snuggle my hands in.
Having worn my last sweater loads I can attest to the fact that it is the perfect length for wearing in a wheelchair. The drop sleeves and relaxed fit also make it super comfy.
I used exactly the same construction method as last time and the top came together in no time.
I would definitely recommend the Jarrah sweater pattern as it comes with lots of variations and has very clear instructions (including a sew along if you are struggling) and of course you already know how I feel about the fabric.
(Image Description: there are 6 images taken from different angles showing Yvonne seated in her wheelchair in her conservatory. She is wearing a black funnel neck sweater in a rope textured knit fabric with drop sleeves and a tie front waistband. She has paired this with black jeans).
